Photo: Lester Cohen / WireImage.com The 54th Grammy Awards took place on Sunday night in the city of Los Angeles, at a packed Staples Center who witnessed the performances of Bruce Springsteen, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, Glen Campbell and Adele and had as big winners at the British solo creator of "Rolling In The Deep" - took six awards - and the Americans led by Dave Grohl - with five trophies.
With all the glamor and celebration involving music ceremonies, the latest installment provided a high dose of homage (via words, sentences, performances and more) to the recently deceased Whitney Houston (11 February 2012), bafta kids along with a series of collaborations: bafta kids country singer Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson pop soloist, Coldplay with Rihanna, Carrie Underwood bafta kids with Tony Bennett and perhaps the top two moments of the night was the return to a scene of the surviving members of The Beach Boys, who did a version of "Good Vibrations", after a tribute in his honor by Maroon 5, and Foster The People and a gold pin with Beatle always making the final medley of Abbey Road, taking in "The End" to guests Luxury as Springsteen, Grohl and Joe Walsh.
Each performance is - at least in the case of pop acts and rap / hip-hop - a riot of lights, effects, choreography and other ointments, but there are always those artists who, away from autotune and lip-synching, provide real shows where the merit lies solely and exclusively on what matters most: the music. The central ceremony was these actions:
Katy Perry - "ET" / "Part bafta kids Of Me"
